WEEK 8
HANUM: It is impossible for a person to handle a huge company on his own.
He must have team members or employees that work for the company in order to
make the company a success. In order to do this, there must a solid
organisation chart that explains the details of every person’s work for the
company. This is important in order to ensure that the company can run
smoothly. The four management functions are planning, organising, leading and
control. Each of these components are important and each member must be sure of
his or her own job scope in accordance to the division of work that has been
planned.
FARAH: An
organization reminds me of a piece of machinery. Every part is important and
that it is crucial that everything runs smoothly and without complications or
the machinery will simply not work. A business includes many people and
everyone has to do their part. To have a successful organization these aspects
are key; planning, organising, leading and control. The planning of a business
is crucial as it the basic core of a whole business. The planning must be
practical yet diverse in order it to be able to survive for a long term. I also
learnt that the SWOT analysis is important so that we will be able to find out
the weaknesses, the speciality, opportunities and threats when running a
business. In this class, we watched informational videos about business plans,
which really opened up my eyes to how to create a business plan. I also learnt
how to present about my business in the correct way, as we had to present about
our business ideas.
AFIQAH: In today’s class, we watched a few videos on youtube that
are related to business plan. The videos tell us more on how to write a
business plan, what should we have in our business plan and etc. Before
starting a business, a careful planning is very important. Thus, after i’ve
been given many explanations about the business plan, I started to realize that
it is very important and a must-have thing before starting a business. It
actually helps us in so many ways especially in how to run the business.
Besides, we also discussed with the lecturer about how we are going to run our
business and asked opinions from him.
HASNA: Today we learned about
creativity and innovation. We learned that what makes a creative individual
were the modest and proud of oneself simultaneously. Modest for creating
something new but feel proud for the success. Not just that, a creative person
is a person who committed with his work and objective oriented, they were the
people who dare to try new idea and open to any criticism. They were also the
person who was focus and dedicate in
their work and take responsibility for their action. They were also rational
and does not hasty. For a creative person, every complex problem were
simplified and broken down into smaller pieces. Next, they generate as many
ideas possible whether its good or bad and they choose the best alternative as
the business strategy.
FATIN: The topic for today’s class was Skills for Project
Management. We are told that there are four functions of management which are
planning, organizing, leading and control. There are also several things that we need to
take account in order to manage the project. We have to know the basic of
marketing. We also have to analyse the market size before doing the project. We
also have to design marketing strategies so that we know how we are going to
promote the product to the customers. Other than that, we also have to manage
the finance effectively when doing any business projects. The lecturer showed
us videos on how business people present their proposals and ideas. It gave me
brief pictures on how actually business world looks like.
IRDINA: The
8th week, the lecturer showed us videos that promote better
understanding of how to present our business plan and what must we include in
our presentation. It gave us a clear view of the basics in presenting our work
in the future. Apart from that, two groups presented briefly their business ideas
to the lecturer during a sharing session. I believed that both groups got a
basic understanding of how to improve their business plans in regards to the
explanation given by the lecturer in that particular class.
LUBNA:
In
this 8th week, the lecture showed us some videos about business plan
presentation. This gave me better view and understanding about the
presentation. Then, my group presented our business ideas to the lecturer. We
received feedbacks and comments that are beneficial for our group’s business
plan. We now know what to improve or add to our business plan.
